Finalization of the Annual Report 2023

SIHMA is proud to announce that the 2023 Annual Report is currently in the finalization and production process. The report provides an overview of research projects, publications, and Africa on the Move statistics. It begins with an overview of SIHMA’s organization and its relationship with trustees and staff. Next, the report focuses on SIHMA’s key areas of interest, including research, publications, and events. Lastly, it concludes with Africa on the Move statistics, examining key data on human migration over the year.

SIHMA is an organization with substantial support for the ongoing research. The report starts with an overview of SHIMA's staff and organizational purpose, establishing the organization's significance and mission easily.

SIHMA’s key focus areas are grounded in the research and publications produced each year. Some notable publications include "Border Towns and Spaces of (In)Visibility," the "Good Practice Migrants and Refugees Report 2022," and "AHMR Volume 10 Number 1." The report also covers key blogs and events conducted throughout 2023.

The Africa On The Move section provides a deeper understanding of the data and events shaping human mobility. By offering a comprehensive analysis of people's movement across Africa, it becomes easier to contextualize the numbers in real-world experiences. The 2023 Africa On The Move section will focus on total international migration worldwide, forcibly displaced and stateless individuals, and key statistics from different regions of Africa.

With the upcoming release of the 2023 Annual Report, SIHMA aims to provide insight into its work throughout the year. By releasing the annual report, SIHMA's accomplishments in 2023 will be understood and recognized.
