New Webinar Series “Responding to COVID-19 and its Impact on the World of Work” are held on 9th and 17th of September 2020.

The Webinar Series are co-organized by the project ”The Future of Work, Labour after Laudato Sì”, the International Catholic Migration Commission, Georgetown University’s Kalmanovitz Initiative for Labor & the Working Poor and the Vatican Commission for Covid-19 coordinated by the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development.

Both Sessions will bring together partners and experts having a key interest in the impact of COVID-19 on work and workers.

The World Health Organization declared COVID-19 a global pandemic on March 11, 2020. As we approach the seven-month anniversary of this declaration, the time is right for us to step back, convene experts from around the world, consider what we are learning about the pandemic’s impact on work and workers and what we are discovering regarding best responses, and discern together how we might coordinate more effect joint action in service of the vision of Laudato Si’. Toward this end, ”The Future of Work, Labour after Laudato Sì” planned to hold two discussion sessions, scheduled for September 9 and September 17, which we will use as focus groups to consider preparation of a follow-up document and to plan a larger open convening in October in conjunction with the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development. Toward that end, we welcome your thoughts and your input.
